Middle East is a Shithole

I hate how the media is focusing on the protesters against Israel's action against the Hamas in the Gaza conflict. Protip: The Hamas, like every other religious fanatic group, are below dirt. Yet, in the eyes of the average liberal do-gooder, Israel is the monster and so is the United States for even being allied with such a horrid nation. Protip: Israel is probably the most civilised country in the Middle East. Israel is getting the blame for civilian casualties even though it is the Hamas who are using them as human shields.

Yet, as we all know, our media is beyond worrying about bias. But really, what's the point in even bothering. The whole Middle East is a shit hole and your average North American is too fat and ignorant to give a fuck about what's what (but not in the butt) in any world affairs. Know what the first thing to come out of your average Canadians mouth whenever another casualty in Afghanistan? "We need to pull out of Iraq, we should let America fight it's own war". Now, besides being geographically confused and confused about world affairs, this is the kind of dumb shit to come out of your average North American (and pretty much every other Westerner, Europe isn't excluded). But how is this relevant to the Middle East being a shithole?

Because from a North American's point of view, the Middle East is a lost cause and anything that happens there is irrelevant to cushy Western society (even though 9/11 was a pretty good reason to start paying more attention, but hey, whatever). So why bother even knowing anything about it? They don't bother. All they see is a big group attacking a smaller group and they automatically put the sympathy on the smaller group. Despite the fact that the smaller group are terrorists.

Now I'm not saying that everyone should automatically start focusing on the Middle East's affairs, because frankly, most of everyone are dumb fucks and should be left to pay attention to their mindless garbage media and electronic trinkets.
